The John Ford Ireland Film Symposium presented an Editing Masterclass with Academy award-winning editor Joel Cox (Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River) who gave an insight into his own career and expertise and how his collaboration with director Clint Eastwood has worked over 30 years.

For many directors their editor is their most trusted collaborator. Together they shape and refine the film in post-production. The inextricable link between director and editor has given rise to some of the most productive and lasting partnerships in filmmaking e.g. Francis Ford Coppola and Walter Murch, Martin Scorsese and Thelma Schoonmaker, and Quentin Tarantino and Sally Menke.
